The AirTAC MALJ is a double-acting, adjustable-stroke aluminum-barrel mini round cylinder. An external screw shortens the extend stroke on site. It features threaded covers and is not an ISO cylinder. The series spans four bores: 20, 25, 32 and 40 mm.
The force class scales with bore: push force at 0.5 MPa spans about 157 N (bore 20) to 628 N (bore 40). Maximum theoretical force at 1.0 MPa spans about 32 kgf to 128 kgf. Ports are G1/8 for bores 20/25/32 and G1/4 for bore 40, available in PT, G and NPT threads.
The MALJ is discontinued. The direct replacement is the MBLJ, which shares the same bore, stroke, force, adjust window, port and mounting interface. The key difference is that the MBLJ uses a riveted body instead of threaded covers, and sensors move from the legacy CS1-M/DS1-M to current CMSG/DMSG/EMSG models.
