About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED12X10B
The ACED12X10B is a double acting, double-rod compact cylinder built to the ISO 21287 short-body format. A 6 mm rod exits BOTH covers, so the output force is EQUAL in both directions: 42.4 N at 0.5 MPa and 59.4 N at 0.7 MPa on every stroke, because both sides work on the rod-side area. The B code gives a male rod thread on each end, and the PT air ports are M5x0.8, which depends only on the 12 mm bore. The hard-anodized aluminium body with a hard-chrome plated S45C rod runs at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) and 30-500 mm/s.
The short ISO 21287 body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so this 10 mm stroke unit slips into tight pick-and-place heads and micro-assembly fixtures.
