This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACE32X150S — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACE32X150S in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP32X150S is a double acting DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø32mm bore and 150mm stroke, 1/8" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACE32X150S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACP32X150S is a double acting DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 32 mm bore and 150 mm stroke, fitted with the optional -S magnet so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted directly on the body. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 402.1 N and pulls 345.6 N; at 0.7 MPa those figures rise to 563 N and 483.8 N, with a theoretical maximum of 82 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs, guards and gantries where a full-length body simply will not fit.
In practice, plan for about 241 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which corresponds to lifting roughly 20 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin - enough for small clamping fixtures or light part transfer. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries a fixed TPU bumper at both ends, and the S45C hard-chrome rod ends in a female M8x1.25 thread. Note that this model is discontinued: the current-production replacement is the ACE32X150, a drop-in successor in the same bore, stroke and force class - confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACE32X150S (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Push force | Pull force |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 402 N | 346 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 563 N | 484 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 82 kgf | |
The ACE32X150S produces the same force from the same bore. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.
| ACP | DIN compact cylinder (double-acting, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 32 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×150 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
A 402.1 N push at 0.5 MPa clamps aluminium brackets on a CNC jig, with the -S magnet feeding position feedback to the PLC via a CMSE switch.
The 150 mm stroke kicks misaligned cartons off a conveyor at up to 500 mm/s, and the short body fits inside the guarding frame.
With about 20 kg of vertical lift capacity at a 2:1 margin, the cylinder raises a sample tray in an automated test station, sensed by a DMSE switch.
Size the job both ways before committing: a 25 mm bore gives 245.4 N push at 0.5 MPa, while a 40 mm bore raises it to 628.3 N, so the 32 mm sits squarely between for the 150 mm stroke. If the load must stay held when air is lost, add a rod lock or pilot check valve - a plain cylinder of this type drifts when the valve centres. FA/FB flange, LB foot and CA/CB clevis mountings plus I/Y rod knuckles bolt to the standard face. Since the ACP32X150S is discontinued, order the ACE32X150 and verify the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions against your fixture.
Replacement checklist
At 0.5 MPa it pushes 402.1 N and pulls 345.6 N; at 0.7 MPa it pushes 563 N and pulls 483.8 N. The theoretical maximum is 82 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Operating pressure is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), proof pressure 1.5 MPa (215 psi), speed 30-500 mm/s, and the port is 1/8" PT. The model is discontinued - the ACE32X150 is the current replacement.
The short-body build saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits tight jigs and gantries. The S means the optional -S magnet is fitted on this model, so CMSE or DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be clipped onto the barrel for end-of-stroke detection. Both ends carry a fixed TPU bumper that only decelerates the piston - it never holds a load.
