This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACE32X30H — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACE32X30H in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP32X30H is a double acting DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø32mm bore and 30mm stroke, 1/8" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACE32X30H (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACP32X30H is a double acting DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 32 mm bore and 30 mm stroke, pushing 402.1 N and pulling 345.6 N at 0.5 MPa (563 N / 483.8 N at 0.7 MPa, 82 kgf theoretical maximum at 1.0 MPa). Its hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod carries a fixed TPU bumper at both ends and runs at 30-500 mm/s on air filtered to 40 um, across 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi).
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding. For planning, count on roughly 240 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 24 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is ACE32X30, and you should confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping. No magnet is fitted, so position switches cannot be used; the optional -S code adds the magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACE32X30H (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Push force | Pull force |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 402 N | 346 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 563 N | 484 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 82 kgf | |
The ACE32X30H produces the same force from the same bore. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.
| ACP | DIN compact cylinder (double-acting, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 32 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×30 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 402.1 N push at 0.5 MPa clamps aluminium or mild-steel parts in machining jigs, and the 30 mm stroke clears quickly for loading.
A short 30 mm stroke presses flaps or holds cartons on a conveyor stopper station, fitting the narrow space above the belt.
Roughly 24 kg of usable vertical push at 0.5 MPa seats bushings or dowels in light assembly work at 30-500 mm/s.
At 402.1 N push at 0.5 MPa, the 32 mm bore suits clamping and pressing loads in the 20-25 kg range; step down to the 25 mm bore (245.4 N push) for lighter fixtures or up to the 40 mm bore (628.3 N push) when more force is needed. The plain ACP32X30H has no magnet, so if you need end-of-stroke sensing with CMSE or DMSE switches, order the -S variant instead. Mount via FA/FB flange, LB foot or CA/CB clevis. This model is discontinued and replaced by ACE32X30 - confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before you swap. Remember the cylinder drifts when air is lost; add a rod lock or pilot check valve if the load must stay put.
Replacement checklist
At 0.5 MPa it pushes 402.1 N and pulls 345.6 N; at 0.7 MPa it pushes 563 N and pulls 483.8 N. The theoretical maximum is 82 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Operating range is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) with proof pressure of 1.5 MPa (215 psi), speed 30-500 mm/s, and a 1/8" PT port on the 32 mm bore.
No - the ACP family is discontinued. The current-production replacement is ACE32X30, an ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class. Confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP was built to the DIN standard. This version has no magnet; order the -S code if you need CMSE / DMSE switch capability.
