About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD100X225B
A double acting, double-rod compact cylinder built to the DIN-standard ACP pattern, the ACPD100X225B pushes a 100 mm bore over a 225 mm stroke with a 25 mm rod exiting BOTH covers. Because each side sees the rod-side area, output is identical in both directions: 3681.6 N at 0.5 MPa and 5154.2 N at 0.7 MPa. The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into presses and gantries where a full-length body will not fit. The through-rod resists rotation and side load, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag.
Practical sizing: keep real work near 2209 N (about 60% of the 0.5 MPa rating) and expect roughly 188 kg of vertical lift capability with a 2:1 margin. The hard-anodized aluminium body pairs with an S45C hard-chrome rod, fixed TPU bumpers sit at both ends, and speed runs 30-500 mm/s. Note that this model is DISCONTINUED - the current-production drop-in is the ACED100X225 in the same bore, stroke and force class, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
