About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD63X60S
Double acting with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD63X60S pushes and pulls with identical force because each stroke works on the rod-side area: 1458.1 N at 0.5 MPa and 2041.3 N at 0.7 MPa in either direction. The 63 mm bore takes a 16 mm through-rod, and the fitted -S magnet lets CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches report position along the barrel. Its hard-anodized aluminium body in the ISO 21287 short format saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight machine frames.
The through-rod resists rotation and side load and gives a symmetric mount, while the rear rod can carry a sensor flag on a packaging or assembly line. Fixed TPU bumpers pad both ends, speed runs 30-500 mm/s, and pressure spans 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) with 1.5 MPa (215 psi) proof. Plan for about 875 N of usable work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 74 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note this model is discontinued; the current drop-in is ACED63X60, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

With about 74 kg of vertical lift capacity at a 2:1 margin, the 63 mm bore raises weld-fixture pallets; a pilot check valve holds the load if air pressure drops.
