The AirTAC AirTAC GF200-08 Filter (GF20008MJW) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 5 µm element, with PT1/4" ports and a manual drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF20008MJW is an AirTAC G-series air filter in size 200 with a 1/4 in PT port. It removes water and particulate from compressed air only - no regulation, no lubrication. The W suffix selects the finer 5 um filter element instead of the standard 40 um, and the M and J codes mean a manual drain and no mounting bracket. The size 200 bowl is polycarbonate (PC). With the manual drain, maximum inlet pressure is 0.9 MPa; working temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G-series filter family spans size 200 to 600 with a port step at each size, and is offered with differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, G (BSPP) or NPT threads as options, and with or without a bracket. Flow and datasheet figures are confirmed on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF200 | G-series air filter, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| J | Supplied without bracket. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Place ahead of pneumatic valves and sample-handling actuators on lab automation benches, where the 5 um element catches fine particulate that standard plant filtration leaves behind; drain by hand between runs.
Use as the final filter before spray guns or coating applicators, removing water carryover and 5 um-and-larger particles that would otherwise mar the finish on the part.
Fit at the drop feeding DC electric-pneumatic fastening tools and air torque wrenches on an assembly line, keeping grit out of the tool motor where the 1/4 in connection is standard.
Size digits 200/300/400/600 set the port and flow path; this size 200 model is 1/4 in PT. Drain choice is manual here (hand-released condensate, 0-0.9 MPa inlet) versus automatic or the default differential-pressure type. The W code gives the 5 um element - pick it when downstream equipment tolerates less fine particulate than the standard 40 um grade allows; otherwise order the non-W code. PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and NPT available as catalogue options. Code J omits the bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating - ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
Flow for G-series filters is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so no rated number is stated here. Send us your line conditions and we will confirm the flow data from the datasheet on request so you can size correctly.
It selects the 5 um filter element instead of the 40 um standard grade - a filtration choice only, with the same size 200 body, 1/4 in PT port, manual drain and PC bowl. Everything else in the code decodes identically to the non-W model.
