The AirTAC AirTAC GF400-10 Filter (GF40010AJ) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with PT3/8" ports and a automatic drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The AirTAC GF series is a compressed-air filter only: it removes water and particulate from the line, with no pressure regulation and no lubrication. This GF40010AJ is the size 400 unit with 3/8in PT ports, the standard 40 micron element, the A-coded automatic drain, and the J suffix meaning no mounting bracket is included - suited to installations where the body is mounted directly to a manifold, sub-plate or an existing bracket. The polycarbonate bowl is standard at this size, the maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part distributed for the US market. The G-series filter line runs from size 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8in to 1in, in PT (standard), G (BSPP) or NPT thread, with differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 or 5 micron elements, and bracket or no-bracket variants. AirTAC publishes filter flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application on request.

| Inlet pressure | 0.15 - 1.0 MPa (22 - 145 psi) |

| Feature | Low pressure loss |
Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF400 | G-series air filter, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| J | Supplied without bracket. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtration bolted directly to a machine's pneumatic sub-plate or manifold where the filter body is fixed by its own connection and the omitted mounting bracket is simply not needed.
Cleaning compressed air at a laboratory bench serving air-driven stirrers, valves and small actuators, with the automatic drain keeping the bowl clear on a bench nobody services daily.
Replacing the filter body on a retrofit of an older packaging machine, where the original bracket and pipework are reused and only the size 400 filter unit itself is swapped out.
Size 400 with 3/8in PT ports fits 3/8in branch lines; step to size 300 or 600 depending on pipework and flow. The suffixes decide the build: A selects the automatic drain against the differential-pressure default or manual (M), and J omits the mounting bracket - choose the plain variant (GF40010A) if you want the bracket included. The standard element is 40 micron, with the 5 micron grade available as the W variant, and threads can be ordered as PT (standard), G or NPT. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes filter flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no rated number to quote here. Share your line pressure and required flow and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet on request.
J means no mounting bracket is included - everything else matches the standard build of size 400, 3/8in PT ports, 40 micron element and automatic drain. If your panel or frame needs a bracket, order GF40010A instead, which ships with one as standard.
