The AirTAC AirTAC GF400-10 Filter (GF40010W) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 5 µm element, with PT3/8" ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The GF40010W is an AirTAC G-series air filter: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and does nothing else - there is no pressure regulation and no lubrication in this unit. This 400-size configuration has a PT 3/8 in port, a fine 5 um filtration element for cleaner, drier air, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds accumulated condensate as the pressure differential across the drain calls for it. The polycarbonate bowl suits 400-size filters, and the bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part in the GF family, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with larger ports and higher flow capability as the size number grows. Drain types (differential-pressure, automatic or manual) and 40 um or 5 um elements are the main choices. Because rated flow is published as curves rather than a single figure, we confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Drops the water and fine particulate out of the shop-air line feeding a CNC machining centre's pneumatic tool-changer circuits, protecting spool valves from condensate carryover.
Sits upstream of solenoid valve banks on an automated assembly line, keeping 5 um-level grit and moisture out of the valve seats and seals.
Installed at the drop feeding air impact wrenches and riveters on a production floor, where a 3/8 in filtered supply keeps tools running clean.
Start with the port: this unit is PT 3/8 in. If your line needs more flow capacity, step up within the GF family to the 600 size at a larger port; if the circuit is smaller, the 200 or 300 sizes cover it. On filtration, 40 um is the standard element and the W suffix on this model gives you the finer 5 um grade - choose 5 um where downstream valves and instruments are sensitive. Drain choice is differential-pressure here (default), with automatic (A) and manual (M) variants available in the same size. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available as catalogue options, and the bracket is included.
Flow for this family is published as performance curves, not a single rated number, so ask us to confirm sizing against your flow requirement and share the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GF400 series as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Tell us your line flow requirement and we will confirm the sizing and provide the datasheet on request.
The W means the 5 um fine filtration element; the blank-position default is the 40 um standard grade. Both grades are catalogue options in the same GF400 size, so you can order the coarser 40 um element where fine filtration is not needed.
