The AirTAC AirTAC GF400-15 Filter (GF40015) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with PT1/2" ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The GF40015 is an AirTAC G-series air filter: it removes water and particulate from compressed air only - no regulation, no lubrication. This 400-size configuration carries a PT 1/2 in port, the standard 40 um filtration element for general-purpose air preparation, and a differential-pressure drain that sheds condensate automatically in service. The 400-size bowl is polycarbonate and the mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GF family runs from size 200 to 600, with ports from 1/8 in up to 1 in, drain types of differential-pressure, automatic or manual, and 40 um or 5 um elements. Rated flow is published as curves rather than one figure, so we confirm the datasheet and flow data for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditions the 1/2 in supply feeding pneumatic conveyor-tracking cylinders on a packaging line, keeping line moisture out of the cylinder seals.
Installed at 1/2 in branch drops in a fabrication shop to strip water and rust scale from compressed air before it reaches downstream equipment.
Used as the first-stage filter on the air inlet of a machine-control panel that feeds clamps and grippers on an automated work cell.
This unit is the 400 size at PT 1/2 in - the natural pick when your main line is 1/2 in and you want standard 40 um filtration. If your demand outgrows the 400 frame, the GF600 at 3/4 in or 1 in is the next step; smaller circuits can drop to size 200 or 300. The drain here is differential-pressure (the default); automatic (A) and manual (M) drains are available in the same body. Want finer air? The same size is offered with a 5 um W element. Thread is PT as standard, with G and NPT as order options, and the bracket is included.
Because flow appears as curves, not a single rating, ask us to check the sizing against your application and supply the datasheet before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
There is no single published rated-flow number for the GF400 series - AirTAC provides flow as performance curves. Send us your required flow and line pressure and we will confirm the correct size and provide the datasheet on request.
The GF40015 uses the differential-pressure drain (the default), which discharges condensate automatically in normal service. The same size is available with an automatic drain (A) or a manual drain (M) if your maintenance routine prefers either - the choice is a catalogue option, not a modification.
