The AirTAC AirTAC GF400-15 Filter (GF40015W) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 5 µm element, with PT1/2" ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF40015W is an AirTAC G-series air filter, 400 size, with a PT1/2 female port (PT is the standard thread), a differential-pressure drain bowl and a 5 um element. The differential-pressure drain vents collected water in normal service without operator attention. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. This unit filters water and particulate only - there is no pressure regulation and no lubrication in the GF family.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GF range spans 200 to 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, your choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um standard or 5 um fine elements, and PT, G (BSPP) or NPT threads; a mounting bracket is included. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding a palletizer's valve manifold, the filter removes condensate and particulate from the plant air so the directional valves and vacuum generators on the gripper arm keep cycling cleanly.
On a laboratory's utility-air header serving pneumatic actuators on fume-hood sashes and autoclave doors, the 5 um element and differential-pressure drain keep the point of use dry without operator draining.
At a commercial-vehicle workshop bench, the filter conditions shop air feeding impact wrenches and air ratchets used on trailer brake work, with the PT1/2 port matching the shop drop.
Size 400 with a 1/2 inch PT port is the step below the 600 size; if your line's demand outgrows this frame we can check the 600 flow curve with you. The 5 um W element is the finer of the two available grades - pick it where valves and actuators need cleaner air than the 40 um standard provides. The differential-pressure drain is the default; specify manual (M) for scheduled draining or automatic (A) for unattended bowls. Thread here is PT as standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue options. A mounting bracket is included.
Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes filter flow as curves rather than one rated figure, so we do not state a number on the page. Tell us your line pressure and demand and we will confirm the flow curve and datasheet for the GF40015W on request before you order.
The blank code is the 40 um standard grade for general line protection; the W code gives a 5 um element for points of use with finer, moisture-carrying contamination concerns such as valve manifolds and precision actuators. If you are unsure which grade your application needs, we will confirm it from the datasheet on request.
