The TACED40X55 is a double acting, double-rod compact cylinder built to ISO 21287: a 40 mm bore with a 55 mm stroke, a 12 mm rod exiting BOTH covers, and a non-rotating twin guide yoke. Because both sides see the rod-side area, output force is EQUAL in both directions - 571.8 N at 0.5 MPa and 800.5 N at 0.7 MPa, either way. The hard-anodized aluminium body is about 50% shorter in mounting length than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs, guards and gantries where a full-length body will not fit.
The twin guide rods stop the tooling rotating and carry side load, so a gripper or plate stays square without an external guide - a real edge over a plain compact cylinder. A fixed TPU bumper at each end absorbs end-of-stroke energy, and the S45C hard-chrome rod with a female M8x1.25 thread is ready for standard tooling. For sizing: plan on roughly 343 N of real work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 29 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Air supply is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), speed 30-500 mm/s, ports 1/8".
