The AirTAC Airtac 3V Solenoid Valves 3V21008NCCT is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/4 in ports. A 3/2 valve either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, so it suits single-acting cylinders, air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty. We stock this code and confirm its published figures from the datasheet on request.
A 3/2 valve gives you one air path and one decision: feed the outlet or vent it. In this normally closed version of the 3V210, the outlet stays isolated from the supply until the coil is energised, then air flows and vents the other way when power drops. That makes NC the default choice wherever an unpowered valve must hold air back.
3V21008NCCT is a genuine AirTAC part: 1/4in NPT porting, an AC110V coil and a DIN plug connection. The same body can be ordered normally open, in AC220V, AC24V, DC12V or DC24V, and with a flying-lead entry where a pre-wired tail is easier than a plug. Datasheet values such as flow and coil power are not in our hands; ask and we will retrieve them for you.

|---|---|
| 1/4 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| NC | Normally closed: no air at the outlet until the coil is energised. |
| AC110V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| NPT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
On a milling fixture, an energised coil feeds the single-acting clamp cylinder; a power loss vents it, so the part can never be left clamped into an uncontrolled state.
Switching the pilot port of a larger main valve from a 110V control panel, so a small solenoid point commands a much bigger air consumer downstream.
A single-acting stopper that lifts to release cartons on a sortation line; with normally closed wiring, power going down drops the stopper clear and lets the flow pass.
Match the coil to the panel: this SKU is wound for AC110V and a coil cannot be rewired to another voltage, so order a B, E or F variant if your supply differs. The 1/4in NPT port takes the larger single-acting actuators and pilots that the smaller M5 and 1/8in bodies would undersize, while the DIN plug lets you unplug the coil for service without cutting a lead. NC is the safe resting state for clamping and holding duties; the normally open twin exists if your fail condition is air flowing rather than air held. We hold no flow or pressure data for this family, so ask us to confirm the datasheet before you size it - and if published figures today matter more than the exact body, the 3V2 and 3V3 series are the documented alternatives. For a double-acting cylinder, move to the AirTAC 4V series.
Confirm before you order
Not from this page - those figures sit in the AirTAC datasheet, and we will confirm them by email or RFQ rather than quote a number we cannot stand behind. Where a published specification is a prerequisite, point the order at the 3V2 and 3V3 bodies, which are the documented 3-port series with flow and coil-power figures available now.
Order the same 3V210 body with the matching coil code instead: B for DC24V, A for AC220V, E for AC24V and F for DC12V (C is this AC110V unit). The coil voltage is fixed at manufacture and cannot be changed by rewiring. Air should also be filtered upstream of any solenoid valve to keep the internal air path clean.
