The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106B is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The 3V106B is the individual single-valve version of the 3V1: one 3/2 body in PT1/8 that either feeds a line or vents it, under the control of a single DC24V solenoid and a return spring. Fit it wherever a small single-acting cylinder, clamp, nozzle or pilot line needs simple on/off air logic.
The DC24V coil is the efficiency story here: 3.0 W is the lowest standard draw in the 3V1 family, kind to compact power supplies, and it still meets IP65 (DIN 40050). The DIN plug entry lets you unplug the coil for service, and the fitted manual override helps during installation. Ask us for a quote on this genuine AirTAC valve.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC24V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| — | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
A small spring-return press cylinder needs feed-and-vent control only, exactly what this 3/2 valve delivers from a 3.0 W DC24V coil.
Energise to blast dust off a can label, de-energise and the spring vents the nozzle line - one DIN-plug coil, no separate pilot circuit needed.
Periodic positive-air purge of a gas-analyser enclosure can be timed from a PLC output driving this low-power 24 V coil.
The 3V106B is the lowest-power entry point of the 3V range: 3.0 W at DC24V keeps the power supply small. Its flow capacity is not characterised by a published Cv, so for flow-critical duties ask us, or move up to 3V2 (1/8in and 1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62). The 3V2M is the alternative when manifold density outranks flow.
Match five things to your panel: M5 or 1/8in port, PT (standard) or G/NPT thread to order, coil voltage - AC220V, AC110V, AC24V, DC24V or DC12V - DIN plug versus flying-lead entry, and individual valve or manifold. A double-acting cylinder needs a 5-port valve, so specify the AirTAC 4V series for that job.

Pressure 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi), temperature -20 to 70 C, medium air filtered through a 40 um or finer element. The DC24V coil takes 3.0 W (other voltages in the family: AC220V and AC110V 4.5 VA, AC24V 5.0 VA, DC12V 2.5 W) and is rated IP65 (DIN 40050). No Cv or effective area is published for 3V1 - ask us before sizing by flow.
Three ports and two states mean it either feeds the outlet or vents it, which suits single-acting spring-return cylinders, blow-off nozzles, clamps and pilot signals. It cannot run a double-acting cylinder, which needs two lines - that is the job of a 5-port AirTAC 4V valve.
