The AirTAC 4V420-15E-AM is a 5/2-way double solenoid valve on the 4V400 body, fitted with an AC24V coil and a terminal-box electrical entry, and equipped with 1/2-inch PT ports. Its 48 mm2 effective area (Cv 2.82) is the highest flow rating in the 4V family, making it a natural match for double-acting cylinders and actuators in the ~O80-125 mm bore range. Because it is double solenoid, it has memory: the spool simply stays in the position it was last pulsed to, held by land friction and balanced pressure, with no return spring and no holding current. It is not magnetically latched. Activating time is 0.05 s or below, and it switches at up to 3 cycles per second.
