About the Airtac MAC Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MAC40X450SCA
The MAC40X450SCA is AirTAC's cushioned round-body mini cylinder: a 40 mm bore stainless barrel with a hard-chrome plated 16 mm rod, rolled-riveted aluminium covers and a CA pivot back cover for linkage or swinging-arm mounts. Double acting throughout, air extends and retracts the rod, and a variable air cushion at each end absorbs end-of-stroke shock so the 450 mm stroke can run toward the upper end of the 30-800 mm/s speed range without hammering the covers.
At 0.5 MPa the bore pushes 628.3 N (about 64 kgf) and pulls 527.8 N on the return. Working at roughly 377 N - about 0.6 of the push rating - keeps a comfortable margin for a cam-follower or pivoting tension arm. Mild corrosion and washdown are handled by the stainless tube, and the built-in magnet is standard, so CMSG / DMSG / EMSG switches clip on straight from the box.
