About the Airtac SC50 Standard Cylinder SC50X210TC

The AirTAC SC50X210TC is a double-acting pneumatic cylinder with a 50 mm bore and 210 mm stroke, factory-equipped with a centre trunnion (TC) mount for pivoting applications. At 0.5 MPa it generates 982 N of push force and 825 N on the pull stroke, rising to 1767 N push at the maximum operating pressure of 0.9 MPa.

This model uses a 20 mm diameter piston rod with an M16x1.5 male thread and PT1/4 port connections. The integral air cushion is adjustable over a 21 mm length to decelerate the piston smoothly. The TC mount ships complete with the TCM1 trunnion bracket (order code F-SC50TC), allowing the cylinder body to pivot as the rod extends and retracts.

Is the Airtac SC50 Standard Cylinder SC50X210TC the Right Cylinder?

Choose the SC50 bore for mid-range clamping, pressing, and material handling where the 982 N push at 0.5 MPa is sufficient. If you need a higher force in the same stroke length, stepping up to the 63 mm bore delivers 1559 N at 0.5 MPa; for a lighter, more compact solution the 40 mm bore provides 628 N. The 210 mm stroke is within the 1200 mm maximum standard stroke for this bore.

This cylinder is a direct replacement for another AirTAC SC50 of identical bore, stroke, PT port thread, and TC centre trunnion mounting. For position sensing, select the -S magnet option to use CMSG/DMSG sensors.
