GFR300C15F2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um

The AirTAC GFR300C15F2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300C15F2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um

The AirTAC GFR300C15F2 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint in one compact body. This 300-size unit is threaded PT1/2 (1/2 in), filters to the standard 40 um grade, and drains condensate by differential pressure. The standard regulator covers a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) setting range, the fitted square gauge reads in psi, and a mounting bracket is included. The polycarbonate bowl suits the -5 to 70 C (non-freezing) operating range, with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi).

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, PT, G or NPT thread options, manual or automatic drain choices, a 5 um filter grade (code W), and gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

C1Port size See datasheet. This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300C15F2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um Is Used

precision_manufacturing

CNC machining cell

Point-of-use filtered and regulated air for tool changers, clamps and pneumatic actuators on a CNC machining centre, with the local psi gauge letting operators verify the setpoint at the machine.

conveyor_belt

Packaging and case-sealing line

Supplies clean, regulated air to carton sealers, labellers and wrapping stations along a packaging conveyor, where the 40 um element protects directional valves from water and debris carryover.

factory

Automotive assembly station

Feeds regulated air to clamp cylinders and air-driven assembly tools at a station on the line, holding a steady downstream setpoint despite pressure swings in the plant ring main.

Is the GFR300C15F2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um the Right Unit?

Step size and port with flow demand: sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 cover 1/8 in to 1 in ports, so choose the size whose flow curve covers your consumption at working pressure. Pick the drain to match duty: differential-pressure (this unit), automatic for unattended draining, or manual where a technician drains on schedule. The standard element is 40 um; specify code W for 5 um where finer filtration is needed. Gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar), PT versus G or NPT thread, and the bracket are selected at order. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300C15F2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one number we can quote. Send us your operating pressure and air consumption and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet for this 1/2 in, 300-size unit before you order.

This unit expels condensate by differential pressure as it builds in the bowl. Choose code A for automatic draining in unattended installations, or code M for manual draining on a schedule; manual-drain versions also extend the lower setting limit to 0.05 MPa (7 psi). Drain choice does not change the filtration grade or port size.
