About the Airtac ACE Compact Cylinder ACE100X300
This AirTAC ACE100X300 is a double acting ISO 21287 compact cylinder with a 100 mm bore and a 300 mm stroke, delivering 3927 N of push force at 0.5 MPa. Its hard-anodized aluminium body is about 50% shorter than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it fits into tight machine frames and guarding where a full-length cylinder will not. The S45C carbon-steel rod is hard-chrome plated for wear resistance, and the fixed TPU bumper at each end absorbs end-of-stroke impact.
For real-world sizing, plan for roughly 240 kg of usable vertical lift at 0.5 MPa (about 0.6 times the 3927 N push rating, divided by gravity) to keep a 2:1 safety margin. The 1/4" port and M12x1.75 female rod thread match standard ISO 21287 accessories, and FA/FB flange, LB foot, CA/CB clevis, CR, SDB pivot and FTC brackets bolt directly to the body face. For lighter duty, the ACE80X300 offers 2513.3 N push at 0.5 MPa, while stepping up to the ACE125X300 gives 6135.9 N push at 0.5 MPa for heavier loads. The 300 mm stroke is the maximum standard for this bore, so this is a standard, non-custom model. Since this is a double acting cylinder, air is required for both extension and retraction; it does not hold position if air pressure is lost, so add a rod lock or pilot check valve for load holding. The 1/4" port and PT thread are standard, and you can order the -S option for a magnet to use CMSE or DMSE switches.
