About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED100X25
A heavy-duty double acting compact cylinder in the AirTAC ISO 21287 family, the ACED100X25 pushes a 100 mm bore through a short 25 mm stroke and delivers 3769.9 N at 0.5 MPa in BOTH directions, because a rod exits each cover and both strokes work on the rod-side area. At 0.7 MPa that rises to 5277.9 N each way, with a peak of 768.8 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The through-rod resists rotation and side load, and its rear end doubles as a mount for a sensor flag.
The short ISO 21287 body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so this 100 mm bore fits clamping stations and press heads where a full-length body will not. A fixed TPU bumper at each cover absorbs end-of-stroke shock, and the hard-anodized aluminium body carries an S45C hard-chrome-plated rod. As a working rule, plan on roughly 2262 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which is about 192 kg lifted vertically with a 2:1 margin.
