About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED100X70S
The ACED100X70S is a double acting, double-rod compact cylinder built to ISO 21287: a 100 mm bore with a 70 mm stroke and a 20 mm rod leaving both covers, so output force is equal in both directions at 3769.9 N per stroke at 0.5 MPa (5277.9 N at 0.7 MPa). Because the body is a short ISO 21287 design, it saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is what lets it slot into heavy presses and gantries where a full-length body will not fit. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries a roller-burnished bore, and the S45C hard-chrome-plated rod resists wear on both ends.
This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be clamped into the body slots for end-of-stroke signalling. A fixed TPU bumper at each cover absorbs end-of-stroke energy, and the through-rod resists rotation and side load while giving a symmetric mount - the rear rod can even carry a sensor flag.
