About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED20X35
The ACED20X35 is a double acting compact cylinder built to the ISO 21287 short-body format, with a piston rod leaving BOTH covers. Because both strokes work on the rod-side area, output is identical in each direction: 117.8 N at 0.5 MPa and 164.9 N at 0.7 MPa. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries magnet slots, and the S45C hard-chrome-plated rod resists wear in continuous duty.
The through-rod resists rotation and light side load, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag or a second tooling plate. In practical terms, plan on roughly 70 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which is about 7 kg of horizontal work force; vertically the rod side will lift about 12 kg, or around 6 kg with a 2:1 margin.
