About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED32X15
The ACED32X15 is a double acting, double-rod compact cylinder built to ISO 21287: a 32 mm bore with a 15 mm stroke and a 12 mm rod exiting BOTH covers, so the output force is equal in both directions (345.6 N at 0.5 MPa, 483.8 N at 0.7 MPa either way). The hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome-plated rod runs on air filtered to 40 um at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), proof pressure 1.5 MPa (215 psi), from -20 to +70 C at 30-500 mm/s.
The short ISO 21287 body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so this 15 mm stroke unit slots into tight pick-and-place frames and small jigs. The through-rod resists rotation and side load and gives a symmetric mount, and the back-end rod can carry a sensor flag. A fixed TPU bumper at each end absorbs end-of-stroke energy. As a rule of thumb, plan on about 207 N of usable work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 10 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin.
