About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED32X20S
The ACED32X20S is a double acting, double-rod ISO 21287 compact cylinder: a 12 mm hard-chrome-plated S45C rod exits BOTH covers, so push and pull are identical - 345.6 N at 0.5 MPa and 483.8 N at 0.7 MPa in either direction. The 20 mm stroke keeps the envelope minimal, and the short body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not fit.
The hard-anodized aluminium body carries a roller-burnished bore, threaded aluminium covers and a fixed TPU bumper at each end to absorb end-of-stroke shock. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be clipped onto the body slots for end-position sensing.
