About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED32X40B
The ACED32X40B is a double acting, double-rod compact cylinder built to ISO 21287: a 12 mm hard-chrome-plated S45C rod exits BOTH covers, so the 32 mm bore delivers an identical 345.6 N at 0.5 MPa (483.8 N at 0.7 MPa) on every stroke. The male rod thread (B code) bolts straight to your tooling, and the fixed TPU bumper at each end absorbs end-of-stroke shock. Its short hard-anodized aluminium body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not fit.
Because the through-rod resists rotation and side load, it suits symmetric tooling and the back-end rod can carry a sensor flag.
