About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED40X100
A double acting compact cylinder built to ISO 21287, the ACED40X100 has a piston rod leaving BOTH covers, so the 40 mm bore delivers 571.8 N at 0.5 MPa and 800.5 N at 0.7 MPa in each direction - both strokes use the rod-side area, so push and pull are identical. The through-rod resists rotation and light side load, and the rear rod end gives you a free spot for a sensor flag or a symmetric tool mount.
The short ISO 21287 body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why this size fits sliding guards and pick-and-place gantries that cannot spare the depth. A hard-anodized aluminium body with a hard-chrome plated S45C rod runs at 30-500 mm/s, and fixed TPU bumpers at both ends absorb end-of-stroke shock.
