About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED63X125S
A double acting ISO 21287 compact cylinder with a rod leaving both covers, the ACED63X125S delivers 1458.1 N at 0.5 MPa in either direction, because both strokes work on the rod-side area. The 63 mm bore pushes 2041.3 N at 0.7 MPa the same way out of each end, so no direction is weaker. Its short body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jigs, gantries and guarding where a full-length body cannot fit.
The through-rod resists rotation and side load and gives a symmetric mount, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag or a second tooling plate. A fixed TPU bumper at each end absorbs end-of-stroke shock. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries magnet slots, and this model is ordered with the -S option, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches mount directly.
