About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED80X225B
A double acting piston drives the ACED80X225B, an ISO 21287 compact cylinder with a rod leaving BOTH covers. Because each stroke works on the rod-side area, output is identical in push and pull: 2356.2 N at 0.5 MPa and 3298.7 N at 0.7 MPa, equal both ways. The male rod thread from the B code bolts straight to your tooling, and 1/4" ports feed the 80 mm bore.
The through-rod resists rotation and side load and gives a symmetric mount, so the back-end rod can carry a sensor flag or a second fixture. The hard-anodized aluminium body with S45C hard-chrome rod runs 30-500 mm/s between 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), with a fixed TPU bumper at each end. In practice, plan on roughly 1414 N of real work at 0.5 MPa (about 60% of rating), which lifts about 120 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The short body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, and the optional -S magnet enables CMSE / DMSE switches - without -S there is no magnet.
