About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED80X25
A double acting compact cylinder built to ISO 21287, the ACED80X25 pushes a 20 mm rod out of BOTH covers, so thrust is identical on the extend and retract strokes. At 0.5 MPa the 80 mm bore delivers 2356.2 N in either direction, rising to 3298.7 N at 0.7 MPa. The short hard-anodized aluminium body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into presses and fixtures where a full-length body simply will not fit.
The through-rod resists rotation and side load and gives a symmetric mount, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag on the far side of the machine. A fixed TPU bumper at each end absorbs end-of-stroke shock. In practical terms the 2356.2 N rating means about 120 kg of vertical lift with a 2:1 margin, so match it to parts in that weight class.
