About the Airtac ACED Double-acting Compact Cylinder ACED80X35S
A double acting compact cylinder built to ISO 21287, the ACED80X35S pushes a 20 mm rod out of BOTH covers, so its 80 mm bore delivers 2356.2 N at 0.5 MPa and 3298.7 N at 0.7 MPa in either direction - both strokes work on the rod-side area. The short body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into press fixtures and gantries where a full-length body will not fit.
The hard-anodized aluminium body carries a fixed TPU bumper at each end to soften end-of-stroke impact, and the S45C hard-chrome-plated rod resists wear at speeds of 30-500 mm/s. This -S version carries the optional magnet, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be clipped onto the body slots for end-of-stroke signalling.
