About the Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP16X25SB
The ACP16X25SB is a double acting DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 16 mm bore and 25 mm stroke, driving an 8 mm S45C hard-chrome rod through a male thread (B code). At 0.5 MPa it pushes 100.5 N and pulls 75.4 N, rising to 140.7 N / 105.6 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 20.5 kgf. Its hard-anodized aluminium body is roughly 50% shorter than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs, guards and gantries where a full-length body will not fit.
Because the S code is in this model, the optional -S magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted directly for end-of-stroke sensing. In practice, plan on about 60 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 5 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin - enough for small clamps, gates and light part transfer. Note this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ACE16X25, and buyers should confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Replacing the Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP16X25SB with the ACE16X25SB
For a 25 mm stroke at this force level, compare the 12 mm bore (56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa) if the load is lighter, or step up to the 20 mm bore (157.1 N push) if you need more margin. Remember that a plain cylinder drifts when air is lost - add a rod lock or pilot check valve if the load must stay put. The FA/FB flange, LB foot and CA/CB clevis options bolt to the standard compact face, and this unit already carries the -S magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches. Since the ACP16X25SB is discontinued, order the ACE16X25 as the current replacement and verify ISO 21287 dimensions first.
