This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACE25X110 — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACE25X110 in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP25X110 is a double acting DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø25mm bore and 110mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACE25X110 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A double acting compact cylinder in the DIN-standard ACP series, the ACP25X110 pairs a 25 mm bore with a 110 mm stroke and delivers 245.4 N of push force and 206.2 N of pull force at 0.5 MPa. The hard-anodized aluminium body with threaded aluminium covers and an S45C hard-chrome rod keeps the short ISO 21287-class body about 50% shorter in mounting length than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not fit. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends and the rod carries a female M6x1.0 thread.
This model is discontinued and is no longer in production; the current drop-in is the ISO 21287 ACE25X110, which matches the same bore, stroke and force class - confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping. For sizing, plan on roughly 147 N (about 15 kg) of usable work at 0.5 MPa rather than the full rating, and expect the rod to lift about 12 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note that no magnet is fitted: order the optional -S code if you need CMSE or DMSE switch sensing.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACE25X110 (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.

|---|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 245 N | 206 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 344 N | 289 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 50 kgf | |
The ACE25X110 produces the same force from the same bore. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.
| ACP | DIN compact cylinder (double-acting, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 25 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×110 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 245.4 N push at 0.5 MPa holds small aluminium brackets against a drill jig fence, and the 110 mm stroke clears part loading by hand.
A packaging line uses the 110 mm stroke to fold carton flaps on a semi-auto tucker, with the short body fitting under a low guard panel.
With the optional -S magnet and CMSE switches, the cylinder signals end-of-stroke as it pushes rejected components off a conveyor into a bin.
At 245.4 N push at 0.5 MPa, the 25 mm bore suits clamping and positioning loads in the 10-15 kg range; step down to the 20 mm bore (157.1 N) for lighter fixtures or up to the 32 mm bore (402.1 N) when more force is needed. The 110 mm stroke sits inside the 150 mm maximum standard stroke for this bore, so it is a catalogue item. Remember the piston drifts when air is lost - add a rod lock or pilot check valve if the load must stay put. FA/FB flange, LB foot and CA/CB clevis mountings bolt to the standard face, and the ACE25X110 is the current replacement.
Replacement checklist
Push is 245.4 N and pull is 206.2 N at 0.5 MPa; at 0.7 MPa push rises to 343.6 N and pull to 288.6 N, with a theoretical maximum of 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. It is double acting with a 25 mm bore, 110 mm stroke, 10 mm rod, M5x0.8 ports, 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) operating pressure, 30-500 mm/s speed and a fixed TPU bumper at both ends.
Order the ACE25X110, the ISO 21287 successor made by swapping the P for an E. It matches the same 25 mm bore, 110 mm stroke and force class with a similar short body and mounting family, but because the ACP is DIN-standard you should confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions against your fixture before swapping. If you need position sensing, the -S magnet option enables CMSE or DMSE switches.
