This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ACE25X110S — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ACE25X110S in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP25X110S is a double acting DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø25mm bore and 110mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACE25X110S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACP25X110S is a double acting compact cylinder in the DIN-standard ACP series, with a 25 mm bore and 110 mm stroke driving a 10 mm hard-chrome rod through an M6x1.0 female thread. Air powers both the extend and return strokes, and fixed TPU bumpers at each end absorb end-of-travel shock. At 0.5 MPa it delivers 245.4 N on the push stroke and 206.2 N on the pull stroke; at 0.7 MPa those rise to 343.6 N and 288.6 N, with a theoretical ceiling of 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight fixtures a full-length cylinder cannot reach.
Because the -S code is in this model, the optional magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clamped straight onto the hard-anodized aluminium body for end-of-stroke signalling. For sizing, treat roughly 0.6 of the push rating as usable, about 147 N, which corresponds to lifting roughly 7 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note that this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ACE25X110, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ACE25X110S (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Push force | Pull force |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 245 N | 206 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 344 N | 289 N |
| Max (@1.0 MPa) | 50 kgf | |
The ACE25X110S produces the same force from the same bore. Actual usable force is lower than theoretical; size with a margin.
| ACP | DIN compact cylinder (double-acting, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 25 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×110 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
Presses bearings or bushings into aluminium housings on an electronics assembly line, using the 245.4 N push force at 0.5 MPa within a 110 mm working stroke.
Clamps PCB test fixtures on a conveyor line, with the fitted -S magnet and a DMSE switch confirming the clamp has fully closed before the test cycle starts.
Raises about 7 kg of fixture weight vertically with a 2:1 margin on a packaging machine indexing table, where the short body fits under a low guard.
At 245.4 N push and 206.2 N pull at 0.5 MPa, the 25 mm bore suits clamping, pressing and transfer tasks in the 10-15 kg load range; step down to the 20 mm bore (157.1 N push) for lighter jigs or up to the 32 mm bore (402.1 N push) when more force is needed. The 110 mm stroke sits inside the 150 mm maximum standard stroke for this bore, so it is a catalogue item rather than a made-to-order length. FA/FB flange, LB foot and CA/CB clevis mountings bolt to the same face, and the fitted -S magnet accepts CMSE / DMSE switches. A plain barrel of this type drifts when air is lost, so add a rod lock or pilot check valve if the load must stay put. Order the ACE25X110 as the current replacement and verify ISO 21287 mounting dimensions first.
Replacement checklist
At 0.5 MPa it pushes 245.4 N and pulls 206.2 N; at 0.7 MPa it pushes 343.6 N and pulls 288.6 N, with a theoretical maximum of 50.1 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Operating pressure is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi), proof pressure 1.5 MPa (215 psi), speed 30-500 mm/s, temperature -20 to +70 C, and the fluid is air filtered to 40 um. The port is M5x0.8 and the rod carries an M6x1.0 female thread.
The ACP25X110S is no longer in production; the current-production drop-in is the ACE25X110, which matches the same 25 mm bore, 110 mm stroke and force class. Confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP was built to a DIN standard. The -S code on this model means the optional magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be mounted on the body for stroke detection.
