About the Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP25X35SB
The ACP25X35SB is a double acting DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 25 mm bore and 35 mm stroke, delivering 245.4 N push and 206.2 N pull at 0.5 MPa (343.6 N / 288.6 N at 0.7 MPa). Its hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome 10 mm rod carries a fixed TPU bumper at both ends and runs at 30-500 mm/s on air filtered to 40 um, at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi). This model carries the optional -S magnet code, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be fitted for position sensing.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not. For sizing, treat roughly 147 N (about 15 kg of thrust) as the practical working force at 0.5 MPa rather than the full rating; vertically that corresponds to lifting about 12 kg with a 2:1 margin. Note that this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is ACE25X35, which matches the same bore, stroke and force class - confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Replacing the Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP25X35SB with the ACE25X35SB
At 25 mm bore the 35 mm stroke sits well inside the 150 mm maximum standard stroke, so no made-to-order extension is needed. If 245.4 N push at 0.5 MPa is marginal for the job, step up to the 32 mm bore (402.1 N); if the load is lighter and space is tighter, the 20 mm bore gives 157.1 N. The B code gives a male 10 mm rod thread and the port is M5x0.8. FA/FB flange, LB foot or CA/CB clevis mounts bolt to the standard face, and the -S magnet on this unit accepts CMSE / DMSE switches. Because a plain cylinder drifts when air is lost, add a rod lock or pilot check valve for held loads. Order ACE25X35 as the current replacement for this discontinued model.
