About the Airtac ACP Compact Cylinder ACP25X55SB
The ACP25X55SB is a double acting compact cylinder in the DIN-standard ACP series, with a 25 mm bore and 55 mm stroke driving a 10 mm hard-chrome S45C rod through a male thread (the B code). At 0.5 MPa it pushes 245.4 N and pulls 206.2 N; at 0.7 MPa those figures rise to 343.6 N and 288.6 N. The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jigs and guarded stations. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clipped on for end-of-stroke signalling.
For sizing, plan on about 147 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa - roughly a 15 kg working load rather than the full rating - and expect about 12 kg of vertical lift capability with a 2:1 margin. The hard-anodized aluminium body takes 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) of filtered air, runs 30-500 mm/s, and carries fixed TPU bumpers at both ends.
