About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD50X150SB
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod through both covers, the ACPD50X150SB pushes and pulls with identical force: 881.2 N at 0.5 MPa and 1233.7 N at 0.7 MPa in either direction, because both strokes work on the rod-side area. The 50 mm bore drives a 16 mm rod over a 150 mm stroke at 30-500 mm/s, on air filtered to 40 um at 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi). Its hard-anodized aluminium body runs about 50% shorter than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight machine frames and fixture plates.
The through-rod resists rotation and side load and gives a symmetric mount, so the rear rod can carry a sensor flag or a second tooling plate while the front rod does the work. Fixed TPU bumpers sit at both ends. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clipped on for end-position sensing, and the B code gives a male rod thread. Note that ACPD is discontinued: the current-production successor is ACED50X150, the ISO 21287 drop-in in the same bore, stroke and force class. For planning, treat roughly 528 N (about 54 kg of push) as the usable working force at 0.5 MPa rather than the full rating.
