About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD50X225SB
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD50X225SB pushes and pulls with identical output: 881.2 N at 0.5 MPa and 1233.7 N at 0.7 MPa in either direction, because both strokes work on the rod-side area of the 50 mm bore. The through-rod resists rotation and side load, gives a symmetric mounting point at each end, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both covers, speed spans 30-500 mm/s, and the -S magnet fitted to this model accepts CMSE / DMSE switches.
The hard-anodized aluminium body follows the short ISO 21287 format, cutting roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so a 225 mm stroke fits jigs and gantries where a full-length body will not. For planning, count on about 529 N of real work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 44 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note that this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ACED50X225, so confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
