About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD50X25LB
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD50X25LB pushes and pulls with identical output: 881.2 N at 0.5 MPa and 1233.7 N at 0.7 MPa in either direction, because both strokes work on the rod-side area of the 50 mm bore. The through-rod resists rotation and side load, gives a symmetric mount, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag. Stroke is a short 25 mm, so the body fits jigs and fixtures where a full-length cylinder cannot.
The hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod uses a fixed TPU bumper at each end and runs at 30-500 mm/s on air filtered to 40 um, across 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi). As a rule of thumb, plan on roughly 529 N of usable work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 54 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ISO 21287 ACED50X25, so confirm mounting dimensions before swapping.

The through-rod keeps the fixture symmetric, and the LB foot brackets bolt to standard ISO 21287 faces. This cylinder drifts when air is lost, so add a rod lock or pilot check for held loads. No magnet is fitted here; order the -S code if you later need CMSE or DMSE switches. Replacement: ACED50X25.
