About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD50X25S
A double acting compact cylinder with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD50X25S pushes and pulls with identical force: 881.2 N at 0.5 MPa and 1233.7 N at 0.7 MPa in each direction, because both strokes work on the rod-side area of the 50 mm bore. The 16 mm through-rod resists rotation and side load, gives a symmetric mounting face, and leaves the rear rod free to carry a sensor flag. This unit carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clipped on for end-of-stroke signalling.
The short ISO 21287-class body cuts roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight fixtures, guarding and gantries. A fixed TPU bumper sits at each end, the hard-anodized aluminium body carries a 1/8" port, and the female M10x1.5 rod thread suits standard I/Y knuckles. As a planning figure, treat about 529 N (roughly 45 kg lifted vertically with a 2:1 margin) as the usable output at 0.5 MPa. Note that this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is ACED50X25, so confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
