About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD50X25SB
Double acting with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD50X25SB pushes with the same 881.2 N at 0.5 MPa in either direction because both strokes work on the rod-side area of the 50 mm bore. At 0.7 MPa that rises to 1233.7 N each way. The through-rod resists rotation and side load, gives a symmetric mounting face, and lets the rear rod carry a sensor flag, while fixed TPU bumpers decelerate the piston at each end. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clipped straight onto the body.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jigs, guards and gantries. In practice, plan on about 528 N (roughly 54 kg of thrust) of real work at 0.5 MPa, or about 45 kg of vertical lift with a 2:1 margin. Note that this ACPD model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ACED50X25, so confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

At 881.2 N per side at 0.5 MPa, this 50 mm double-rod unit suits symmetric push-pull duty; step down to the 40 mm bore (571.8 N) for lighter clamps or up to the 63 mm bore (1458.1 N) for heavier tooling. Remember the piston drifts if air is lost, so add a rod lock or pilot check valve for a held load. FA/FB flange and LB foot mountings bolt to the standard face, and the male rod thread (B code) plus the fitted -S magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches are already on this variant. Since ACPD is discontinued, order the ACED50X25 as the current replacement and verify the ISO 21287 footprint.

AirTAC no longer produces the ACPD family. The current drop-in is the ACED50X25, the ISO 21287 successor with the same 50 mm bore, 25 mm stroke and force class. Confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions against your fixture before swapping, since the ACP was built to a DIN-standard footprint.
