About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD50X65B
Double acting with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD50X65B pushes and pulls with the same 881.2 N at 0.5 MPa (1233.7 N at 0.7 MPa), because both strokes work on the rod-side area of the 50 mm piston. The 16 mm through-rod resists rotation and light side load, gives a symmetric mount, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag. A fixed TPU bumper sits at each end, speed runs 30-500 mm/s, and pressure spans 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi).
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight printing, packaging and handling fixtures. Plan on roughly 529 N (about 54 kg of thrust) as usable work at 0.5 MPa, or match it to a part weight: it lifts about 45 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note this model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is the ACED50X65, which shares the same bore, stroke and force class - confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

With rods exiting both covers of the 50 mm bore, a sliding guard or transfer gate can be driven from either end at 1233.7 N at 0.7 MPa, inside a short 65 mm envelope.
Rear-rod flag sensing
The back-end rod carries a switch flag in a bottling-line indexing station; order the -S magnet version if CMSE / DMSE position switches are required, since this model ships without a magnet.

At 881.2 N per direction, the 50 mm bore sits between the 40 mm (571.8 N) and 63 mm (1458.1 N) options at 0.5 MPa; step down for lighter clamping, up for heavier presses. The 65 mm stroke is well inside the 250 mm standard limit for this bore. This unit has a male rod thread (B code) and a 1/8" PT port, with FA/FB flange or LB foot mounting. No magnet is fitted, so no switch can be mounted - order the -S code if you need CMSE / DMSE sensors. A plain double-rod cylinder drifts when air is lost, so add a rod lock or pilot check for held loads. Order the ACED50X65 as the current drop-in replacement.
