About the Airtac ACPD Double Rod Compact Cylinder ACPD50X75S
Double acting with a rod leaving both covers, the ACPD50X75S pushes with the same 881.2 N at 0.5 MPa in either direction because both strokes work on the rod-side area of the 50 mm piston. At 0.7 MPa that rises to 1233.7 N each way, with a peak of 179.7 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The through-rod resists rotation and side load, gives a symmetric mount, and the rear rod can carry a sensor flag. A fixed TPU bumper sits at each end, and stroke speed runs 30-500 mm/s.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and gantries. In practice, plan on roughly 54 kg of vertical work (about 0.6 of the 0.5 MPa force) rather than the full rating. The hard-anodized aluminium body pairs with an S45C hard-chrome rod, and this model carries the optional -S magnet so CMSE / DMSE switches can be fitted. Note: the ACPD family is discontinued - the current-production drop-in is ACED50X75, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
