About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ20X120-50S
This is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: the -50 stop screw trims the 120 mm stroke by up to 50 mm on site, giving a usable range of 70-120 mm. The 20 mm bore delivers 157.1 N push and 117.8 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 219.9 N at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 32 kgf at 1.0 MPa. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends and the rod carries a female M6x1.0 thread. Note that the 120 mm stroke exceeds the 100 mm standard maximum for this bore, so it is a made-to-order build.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight gantries and fixture plates. Because 157.1 N at 0.5 MPa converts to about 16 kgf, halving for a 2:1 margin means it lifts about 8 kg vertically - enough for small aluminium housings or stacked PCB trays. The -S magnet this model carries accepts CMSE / DMSE switches for end-position sensing. The ACPJ family is discontinued; the current drop-in is the ACEJ20X120, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
