About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ20X120-75
Double acting and adjustable, the ACPJ20X120-75 gives a 20 mm bore a 120 mm stroke that an external stop screw can trim by up to 75 mm, so the usable extend range is 45-120 mm. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 157.1 N and pulls 117.8 N; at 0.7 MPa that rises to 219.9 N push. The 120 mm stroke exceeds the 100 mm maximum standard stroke for this bore, so it is a made-to-order build. Note: this model is discontinued - the current-production replacement is the ACEJ20X120.
The hard-anodized aluminium body keeps the mounting length roughly 50% shorter than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jig plates and machine guards. For sizing, treat about 94 N (roughly 9.6 kg lifted) as the realistic vertical working load at 0.5 MPa instead of the full rating. The stop screw sets the extend position only - it is not a mid-stroke lock, so the rod can drift if air is lost. Speed range is 30-500 mm/s with fixed TPU bumpers at both ends.
