About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ20X120-75S
The ACPJ20X120-75S is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw trims the 120 mm stroke by up to 75 mm on site, giving a usable range of 45-120 mm. The 20 mm bore delivers 157.1 N push and 117.8 N pull at 0.5 MPa (219.9 N push at 0.7 MPa), with a theoretical peak of 32 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Note that the 120 mm stroke exceeds the 100 mm standard maximum for this bore, so it is a made-to-order item.
This model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is the ACEJ20X120, a drop-in successor in the same bore, stroke and force class - confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping. The short ISO 21287 body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, and the fitted -S magnet accepts CMSE / DMSE switches for end-of-stroke sensing. As a rule of thumb, plan on roughly 94 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 8 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin.
