About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ20X25-20S
Double acting and adjustable in stroke, the ACPJ20X25-20S gives a 20 mm bore with a 25 mm stroke that an external stop screw can trim by up to 20 mm, so the working range is 5-25 mm. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 157.1 N and pulls 117.8 N; at 0.7 MPa those figures rise to 219.9 N and 164.9 N, with a theoretical ceiling of 32 kgf at 1.0 MPa. As a rule of thumb, plan on roughly 94 N of real work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 9 kg vertically - halve that for a 2:1 margin and you can safely pick parts up to about 4 kg.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into cramped jigs and guard rails where a full-length body cannot. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends, the hard-anodized aluminium body carries an S45C hard-chrome rod, and the fitted -S magnet accepts CMSE / DMSE switches for end-position sensing. Note: this model is discontinued. The current-production drop-in is ACEJ20X25 - confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP family is DIN-standard.
