About the Airtac ASE Single Acting Plunger Type Compact Air Cylinder ASE40X15B
Single acting push cylinder with spring return, the ASE40X15B extends its 12 mm rod on air and retracts on the spring when pressure drops. At the 40 mm bore it delivers 556.8 N of push at 0.5 MPa (808.1 N at 0.7 MPa), already net of the spring, and it runs from just 0.2 MPa (28-145 psi working band, 1.5 MPa / 215 psi proof). The B code gives a male rod thread on a hard-chrome plated S45C shaft.
Built to ISO 21287, the hard-anodized aluminium body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight fixtures and guarded cells. A fixed TPU bumper at each end absorbs end-of-stroke shock, and the roller-burnished bore resists wear.
