This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ATE63X10S — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ATE63X10S in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ATP Single Acting Port Compact Cylinder ATP63X10S is a single acting, pull (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø63mm bore and 10mm stroke, 1/8" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ATE63X10S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A single acting pull cylinder with spring return, the ATP63X10S keeps its 16 mm rod extended by the spring and retracts it with air, needing only 0.2 MPa to overcome the spring. At 0.5 MPa it delivers 1320 N of pull net of the spring (1903.2 N at 0.7 MPa), and with a 2:1 margin that equates to lifting about 67 kg vertically - enough to seat, clamp or release a mid-size die or fixture component. The 10 mm stroke suits short, positive retraction moves rather than long travel.
The hard-anodized aluminium body is an ISO 21287 class compact build, saving roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it fits tight jigs and guarding. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed or solid-state switches can report rod position. Note that the ATP family is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is the ATE63X10, and buyers should confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ATE63X10S (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Pull force (spring return) |
|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 1320.0 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 1903.2 N |
Single-acting pull: the spring extends the rod; air retracts it. Forces already net the spring; minimum working pressure is 0.2 MPa.
| ATP | DIN compact cylinder (single-acting pull, spring-return, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 63 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×10 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
Retracts a spring-extended latch pin on a 63 mm stamping die cart; 1320 N of pull at 0.5 MPa clears the lock even with light galling, and the 10 mm stroke keeps the pin travel short.
Spring holds the ejector blade out so a machined housing rests on it; air pull retracts the blade to drop the part into a tote, with a CMSE switch on the -S magnet confirming retraction.
The spring keeps a small divert gate raised; applying 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi) pulls the gate down at up to 500 mm/s, and on air loss the gate fails safely open.
Size by pull force: at 0.5 MPa this 63 mm bore gives 1320 N net of the spring, while a 50 mm bore gives 775 N and an 80 mm bore gives 2159.1 N, so step up only if your load exceeds about 790 N of real work. Remember the spring returns the rod to its extended home on air loss and will not hold a mid-stroke position. Mount with FA/FB flange, LB foot or CA/CB clevis brackets, and keep the -S magnet if you need CMSE / DMSE switch feedback. For new projects, order the ATE63X10 instead - this ATP model is discontinued.
Replacement checklist
It is a single acting pull cylinder: the spring extends the rod and air retracts it. Pull is 1320 N at 0.5 MPa and 1903.2 N at 0.7 MPa, both net of the return spring, so minimum working pressure is 0.2 MPa. Plan on about 790 N of real work at 0.5 MPa, which with a 2:1 margin lifts roughly 67 kg vertically. Operating range is 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi), proof 1.5 MPa (215 psi), speed 50-500 mm/s, port 1/8", rod thread M10x1.5 female.
The ATP is a compact short-body cylinder in the ISO 21287 class, saving about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, with a fixed TPU bumper at each end that only decelerates the rod. The ATP family is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is the ATE63X10 (same bore, stroke and force class). Confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ATP follows the older DIN-standard footprint.
