About the Airtac ATP Single Acting Port Compact Cylinder ATP63X20SB
A single acting pull cylinder with spring return, the ATP63X20SB keeps its 16 mm rod extended by a spring and retracts it with compressed air from 0.2 MPa upward. At 0.5 MPa the net pull is 1320 N, rising to 1903.2 N at 0.7 MPa, both already reduced by the spring load. The 63 mm bore takes a 1/8" port, and the male rod thread from the B code bolts straight to standard knuckles. This model is discontinued; the current-production successor is the ATE63X20 in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The short ISO 21287 body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight welding jigs and press fixtures. Because the S code is present, the optional -S magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be clamped on for end-of-stroke signals. For sizing, treat roughly 792 N (about 80 kg of force) as the realistic working pull at 0.5 MPa, and expect around 67 kg of vertical lift capability with a 2:1 margin.
