This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ATE63X25B — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ATE63X25B in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ATP Single Acting Port Compact Cylinder ATP63X25B is a single acting, pull (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø63mm bore and 25mm stroke, 1/8" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ATE63X25B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A single acting pull cylinder with spring return, the ATP63X25B uses a 63 mm bore to deliver 1320 N of pull at 0.5 MPa (1903.2 N at 0.7 MPa), both figures already net of the return spring. The spring holds the rod extended at rest, and compressed air between 0.2 MPa and 1.0 MPa (28-145 psi) retracts it, so the unit fails to its extended home position on air loss. This model is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is the ATE63X25, and buyers should confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping because the ATP was built to a DIN-standard footprint.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits tight jigs and guards. The B code gives a male rod thread on the 16 mm rod, the port is 1/8" PT, and a fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends. No magnet is fitted on this code, so no switch can be mounted; order the -S variant if you need CMSE or DMSE sensors. For sizing, treat about 792 N (roughly 67 kg vertical) as the realistic working pull at 0.5 MPa.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ATE63X25B (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Pull force (spring return) |
|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 1320.0 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 1903.2 N |
Single-acting pull: the spring extends the rod; air retracts it. Forces already net the spring; minimum working pressure is 0.2 MPa.
| ATP | DIN compact cylinder (single-acting pull, spring-return, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 63 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×25 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
Spring extends the pusher pad to eject a 40 kg carton from a case packer; 0.4 MPa air retracts it for the next box, with the 25 mm stroke matching a shallow eject slot.
On a CNC pallet fixture the spring keeps the clamp arm extended to lock a workpiece; air pull retracts it only during load and unload, and air loss leaves the part clamped.
A bottling line guide rail is held against the bottle path by the spring and pulled 25 mm aside for changeover, using about 67 kg of vertical-equivalent force margin.
At 0.5 MPa this bore pulls 1320 N net of the spring. If your load needs less, the ATP50X25B offers 775 N at the same pressure; if it needs more, step up to the ATP80X25B at 2159.1 N. Remember the spring cannot hold a mid-stroke position - the rod sits extended whenever air is removed. Mount with FA/FB flange, LB foot or CA/CB clevis brackets, and add the -S code only if CMSE / DMSE switch sensing is required. Order the ATE63X25 as the current replacement and verify the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions first.
Replacement checklist
Pull is 1320 N at 0.5 MPa and 1903.2 N at 0.7 MPa, both net of the return spring. Working pressure is 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi) with 1.5 MPa (215 psi) proof pressure, speed range 50-500 mm/s, temperature -20 to +70 C, and air filtered to 40 um. The 63 mm bore drives a 16 mm rod through a 1/8" PT port, and at least 0.2 MPa is needed to overcome the spring.
A fixed TPU pad at each end simply decelerates the rod at the ends of travel; it is not adjustable and never locks or holds a load. The ATP63X25B itself is discontinued - the ATE63X25 is the current ISO 21287 drop-in with the same bore, stroke and force class, so confirm the mounting dimensions before swapping.
